    The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is proud to serve as the home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Maestra Marin Alsop.  With a seated capacity of 2,443, the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is ideally suited for a variety of events.  In our more than 30 year history, we have hosted a variety of diverse events including symphonic music, contemporary artists, jazz and gospel performances to family and community events, comedy shows and rock concerts.

    In addition to our state-of-the-art auditorium, our expanded lobby space and adjacent rooms are ideal for receptions, galas and banquets, private parties, weddings and other large-scale events. We also provide pre-tour rehearsal space for musical artists and other productions.

  • Rate Card

    Below are basic rental rates for the use of the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and additional spaces available throughout the venue. 

    We understand that no single event is the same, and we will work closely with you to build a rate package specific to your needs. Final rates will be determined upon advancing the details of your event.

    Auditorium

    The rental fee for use of the auditorium INCLUDES the following services:

    Basic Rental Fee, Box Office Staffing, Building Engineer, Cleaning Costs, Front of House Staffing, Event Security, Local Telephone Service, Technical Manager, House Ticket Takers/Ushers, Utilities.

    Non-Ticketed Event (ex: Corporate Meeting, Receptions, etc.)

    $7,500.00

    Non-Profit Event (ex: Graduations, Charitable Organizations, etc.)

    $8,500.00

    • Additional Same Day Event

    $6,800.00

    Public Ticketed Event (ex: Concert, Comedy, Fundraiser, etc.)

    $10,500.00

    • Additional Same Day Event

    $8,000.00

    Items NOT included in the fixed rent and services include:

    Stagehand Labor (costs vary), Musicians, Long Distance Phone, In-House Sound, In-House Lighting, Spotlight Usage, Additional Equipment Rentals, Additional Security Needs, Ticketing Fees, Catering Services, Event Insurance, MD State Admissions Tax (if applicable).


    Ticketing Expenses

    The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall has an exclusive agreement with Ticketmaster (TM) to provide ticketing services for all events at the venue. The facility representative and our box office staff will work closely to get your event built and on-sale.

    Below are the fees charged to a presenter for a ticketed event:

    Tickets sold via Outlets, Phone or Internet
    Tickets sold via Venue Box Office
    Meyerhoff Restoration Fee

    For clients that choose to sell their own tickets for events the following fees will be charged:

    Stagehand Labor

    All stagehand calls are for a minimum of four hours for each call, with a minimum of four people. To obtain an estimate for labor associated with your event, please coordinate all production elements with the Meyerhoff Manager of Facility Sales and the venues Shop Steward.

    Below you will find a list of suggested caterers. The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall does not have an exclusive caterer on-site. As long as our catering guidelines and insurance coverage policies are met, clients can feel free to work with whomever they are most comfortable with.
