Experience the magic of the BSO in an intimate setting! Bring a BSO musician to your school or community. This program offers performances by individuals and small ensembles of the BSO, addressing topics ranging from musical careers, instrument families, music history and even multi-day residencies. On-The-Go musicians are available to present to student and adult audiences.

BSO on the GO (Montgomery County)

Now in its fifth full academic year, BSO on the Go puts selected BSO musicians into the County's elementary schools (including Title I schools) at no cost to the schools or parents.  In contrast to a passive auditorium concert, these interactive programs take place in a more intimate classroom setting that encourages students and musicians to engage one another. 

Along with our basic presentations, multiple-visit residencies also are available to 4th and 5th graders with a year of recorder playing experience where students compose for and perform with our musicians.  

BSO on the GO has received widespread acclaim from the participating children as well as their music educators.
