Under Marin Alsop’s direction, the BSO’s inaugural New Music Festival opens with a chamber performance full of premieres. Schubert’s beloved “Trout” Quintet leads the program, followed by Polish composer and soprano Agata Zubel’s performance of her own work, Labyrinth, a thrilling composition for voice and instrumental ensemble.

Celebrate the BSO’s inaugural New Music Festival with world-renowned guest artists, multiple premieres and the reprise of Kevin Puts’ The City, a film illustrating Baltimore’s strength and hope.

6 pm: Pre-concert block party outside of the Meyerhoff with food trucks from The Gathering, drink specials and live music by DJ Dubble8

7 pm: Round-table discussion with Marin Alsop, President and CEO Peter Kjome and guest composers in the Meyerhoff lobby
