General Purchase & Attendance Policies

  • Tickets are not refundable, but may be exchanged. See the exchange policy below for more information.
  • Programs and artists are subject to change without notice.
  • Children under the age of 6 are not admitted into the concert hall, except for concerts indicated as appropriate.
  • All concert attendees are required to have a ticket.
  • No cameras, video or recording devices of any type are permitted in the concert hall.
  • Latecomers will be seated at suitable intervals, typically between movements.


Service Fee Policy

Tickets purchased on are subject to the following service fees:

$4 per ticket for non-subscribers

$3 per ticket for subscribers  

$12 per order for subscription package purchases

Tickets purchased online for performances at the Music Center at Strathmore are not subject to the per ticket service fee.

Exchange Policy

If you are unable to attend please consider donating your tickets back to the BSO.  We will provide you with a tax deductable donation receipt.

For Subscribers

The BSO greatly values the commitment and support of its subscribers.  As a benefit, subscribers may exchange tickets at no charge through, fax and in person at the Meyerhoff Ticket Office.  Tickets must be exchanged before 5 pm on concert night and 5 pm the evening prior to a matinée.  There is a $3 fee per ticket fee for exchanges done by phone.  Please understand that ticket exchanges are limited to exchanges within the same concert season, which ends in June.  Additional fees apply for seating upgrades and all exchange requests are subject to availability. Exchanges into premium concerts cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability and additional fees.  Some exclusions apply for group, student and special event ticket sales. The BSO reserves the right to define a concert as premium or charge the difference between the original price paid and the curent market value based on demand.

For Single Ticket Holders

The BSO has established an exchange policy for single ticket holders to allow for greater flexibility.  Single tickets can be exchanged within the same concert season for a processing fee of $5 per ticket.  Single ticket exchanges can be done by phone, fax and in person at the Meyerhoff ticket office.  Online ticket exchanges are only available to subscribers.  Exchanges into premium concerts, seating sections and pricing cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability and additional fees. Some exclusions apply for group, student and special event ticket sales. The BSO reserves the right to define a concert as premium or charge the difference between the original price paid and the curent market value based on demand.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is committed to respecting the privacy of our customers and all visitors to our website. The following document details the policies the BSO has in place to safeguard your privacy. By using our website and creating an ePatron account, you are agreeing to the policies below.

Collection of Information

When you create an account on, you share your first name, last name and email address with us. Your mailing address is required to purchase tickets, enter a contest, or make a contribution. When transacting a sale, we will also require your credit card number. At certain times, we may collect demographic information via website surveys. This information helps us better understand our customers and is completely optional.

Email Addresses

When you provide your email address to the Baltimore Symphony, we will periodically contact you through email, providing you information about your account, upcoming concerts, special offers, Symphony News updates, contest opportunities, etc. If you don’t want to receive periodic email notices from the BSO, a link to unsubscribe from email notices is provided at the bottom of each email message.

Financial Information

The BSO will protect any financial information you provide to us. If you purchase merchandise online, your credit card is encrypted using current secure communication technologies. Your credit card number will only be used for processing orders. Your order information will be stored on our secure servers, but this information is never shared with third parties. We restrict access to customer financial information for use by authorized BSO employees only.


Cookies are small bits of data transferred to your computer by a website to facilitate your online experience. Cookies are only used on assist in customer log-in functions, track the progress of e-commerce transactions and to record session information in order to analyze website effectiveness. We do not share information obtained by cookies with other organizations on an individual basis. This information may be shared with other organizations in a summary format.


When you create an ePatron account online, you will be asked to select a password, in order to protect your account. Passwords are kept confidential and will not allow access to payment information such as credit card numbers, etc. If you have forgotten your password, click here to have it emailed to you. Uses of Personal Information

The BSO uses the personal information it collects to process your orders, to notify you of concert changes and updates, and to personalize your Symphony experience, offering you unique ticket offers or event invitations based on your interests. Any personal information collected is used by BSO employees only and is not shared with any outside parties.
