Midweek Education Concerts Ordering Tickets & FAQs
BSO Midweek Concert tickets cost $6.50 each. For every fifteen (15) paid students, you receive one (1) complimentary chaperone ticket.
How do I purchase tickets for BSO Midweek Concerts?
For smaller orders of up to 200 seats, we encourage you to order tickets directly online by clicking on the concert date/time of your choice. For orders over 200 seats, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410.783. 8118.
Ticket orders of any size may also be purchased by sending us this order form. You may email, fax or mail us the completed form at: email@example.com / fax410.783.8004 / or BSO Education Department 1212 Cathedral Street Baltimore, MD 21201.
NOTE: Payments must be received within two weeks of placing the order or two weeks prior to the performance date, whichever is earlier. Unpaid orders are subject to cancellation. The BSO cannot provide refunds or exchanges.
Where are the concerts held?
Midweek Concerts are held at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.
When will I receive my tickets to the concert?
There are no printed tickets for Midweek Education Concerts. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an Education Acknowledgement Form reflecting the number of tickets purchased and any unpaid balance.The Education Acknowledgement Form also serves as your ticket to the concert. Please bring a copy of this form with you on the day of the concert. Your seating assignment will be given to you when you arrive.
What happens in case of school cancellation or delays due to snow?
In the case of inclement weather, please call (410) 783-8118 for the most up-to-date information. A message will be posted on this phone number by 7:00 am on the day of your concert.
If the BSO decides to cancel a performance due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule a cancelled concert and you will be notified if a reschedule date is possible.
If a student is absent, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, no refunds or exchanges are possible.
Can I take photographs during the concert?
No. Cameras, tape recorders, and video/audio recording are not permitted inside the concert hall.
Can my students sit in the hall or lobby to eat a snack or lunch?
Unfortunately, there is no space in the lobby for groups to eat.
We are a small homeschool family. Can we still attend the Midweek Concerts?
Absolutely! Homeschool and small groups are welcome to attend all of our concerts. If you are part of a larger homeschool group and plan to arrive separately, please make sure that all parties know the name of the person who placed the order and bring a copy of the Education Acknowledgement Form with you on the day of the concert.
Can I bring my young child if he/she sits on my lap?
You must purchase an individual ticket for each member of your group, regardless of age. If you need to bring a younger child, you may stay in the lobby and view the concert on video monitors. We do not recommend attendance for children under the age of 3.
I have a child with special needs in my class. How can I make sure his/her needs are met?
Please note any special needs on your order form and contact the Education Department at 410.783.8118 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Every effort will be made to accommodate your group. The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is wheelchair accessible and we offer assistance for students who are hard of hearing. The Meyerhoff can provide FM-band hearing loops. Sign-interpreted performances or cued speech transliteration may be arranged upon request (requests must be made at least 2 weeks prior to each performance).
