The orchestra as soloist opens this program, first in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, and then in Baltimore native Christopher Rouse's Concerto for Orchestra. The evening closes with Tchaikovsky's Sixth, certainly his greatest symphony, as gripping an experience as can be found in a concert hall.
