You have been selected to perform with the Rusty Musicians Orchestra, on stage at the Music Center at Strathmore with members of the BSO under the baton of Maestra
Marin Alsop.

Based on the overwhelming positive response to this event, we have added a second night.


The two Rusty Musicians events will now be held on:

Each night will include four one-hour sessions. There are no additional Rusty Musicians Rehearsals. Please click on the above time slots to view your assignment.

Dress for the Rusty Musicians events is:
Men: Dark suits with long ties
Women: All black

Your participation in Rusty Musicians allows you to attend any or all of the Rusty Musicians sessions as an audience member. Guests may purchase tickets for $10 at www.bsomusic.org, by calling the BSO box office (410.783.8000), or in person at the Strathmore box office.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) Outer Loop
(From Baltimore and points east)
Strathmore is located just 1/2 mile north of the Capital Beltway. Take Exit 34 and head north on Wisconsin Ave., Route 355 (Rockville Pike).

FOR THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE Take a right onto Tuckerman Lane just after the Metro overpass, follow Tuckerman around to the left, entrance to Metro parking garage is on the left. Take the stairs or elevators to the 4th level of the garage, and walk across the sky bridge into the Music Center’s main entrance.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) Inner Loop
(From Northern VA and points west)
Exit the Capital Beltway onto Old Georgetown Road (Route 187, Exit 36). Turn left off the exit ramp onto Old Georgetown Road. Proceed for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Tuckerman Lane. Follow Tuckerman Lane for about 2 miles.

FOR THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE Stay on Tuckerman Lane and cross over Rockville Pike (355), entrance to Metro parking garage is the second driveway on the right. Take the stairs or elevators to the 4th level of the garage, and walk across the sky bridge into the Music Center’s main entrance.

From the I-270 Spur (heading south)
(From Gaithersburg, Frederick and points north)
Exit the I-270 Spur onto Old Georgetown Road (Route 187). Follow the signs to Old Georgetown Road (187), North. Turn left onto Rt. 187. Within a 1/4 mile, turn right onto Tuckerman Lane. Follow Tuckerman Lane for about 2 miles.

FOR THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE Stay on Tuckerman Lane and cross over Rockville Pike (355), entrance to Metro parking garage is the second driveway on the right. Take the stairs or elevators to the 4th level of the garage, and walk across the sky bridge into the Music Center’s main entrance.

On Rockville Pike (Route 355), heading north

Strathmore is located 1/2 mile north of the Capital Beltway (I-495) on Rockville Pike.

Strathmore is located on Rockville Pike (Route 355) just south of White Flint Mall.

FOR THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE Pass the Mansion at Strathmore and take your next left onto Tuckerman Lane, the entrance to the Metro parking garage is the second driveway on your right. Take the stairs or elevators to the 4th level of the garage, and walk across the sky bridge into the Music Center’s main entrance.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

BY METRO
Strathmore is located immediately adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station, on the Red Line. Follow the walkway out of the metro station to the left entrance of the Metro Garage. Take the stairs or elevators to the 4th level, and walk across the sky bridge into the Music Center’s main entrance.

All Buses stop at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station, follow the Metro directions above.

PARKING

Limited parking is available on Tuckerman Lane; prior to 7 pm, these spaces are metered. Parking also is available in the Metro garage adjacent to the Music Center at Strathmore. The cost of Metro garage parking is $4.75 and only can be paid by using a Metro SmarTrip card upon exiting the garage. SmarTrip cards may be purchased at dispensers located at all Metro stations (including the Grosvenor/Strathmore station) for $10.00. Please note: parking is not permitted at either of the surface lots that are behind the Music Center or between the Music Center and the Strathmore Mansion; violators of this prohibition are subject to having their vehicles towed.
