FALL 2012 RUSTY MUSICIANS

Calling Singers AND Instrumentalists to Perform with the BSO!

Music Director Marin Alsop and the musicians of the BSO invite interested singers and instrumentalists of the community to perform with the BSO on stage at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.

**Singers are also invited and strongly encouraged to attend the following singer-only rehearsals at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Recital Hall, led by Stanley Thurston with members of the Heritage Signature Chorale:
Saturday, November 10, 11am-1pm
Tuesday, November 13, 6:30 - 7:20 pm


Cost:
$50 for each Group experience (i.e. “Group 1” or “Group 2”). This fee is non-refundable.



To Register:

Requirements: Participants must be age 21 or older, be able to read music and play an instrument that is part of the standard orchestra instrumentation. Singers should be able to carry a consistent pitch and sing in harmony.

1. Application: Please fill out the application below.

a. Group Preference: Please indicate your preferred group on the registration form below.

i. Instrumentalists are invited to participate in Groups 1 and/or 2.
ii. Vocalists are invited to participate in Group 2.

b. Please make sure to fill out all fields marked with an asterick (*) on the application. If you are redirected back to the application page after pressing “Submit,” your application was not accepted due to a missed, required field.

2. Notification: You will be notified of your acceptance status within three business days following your application submission.
3. Payment: Once accepted, participants have 3 days to submit a non-refundable registration fee ($50 for each group experience).

Although we will strive to accommodate your preference, we cannot guarantee placement in your preferred group. Acceptance will be confirmed via email, and digital parts will be provided in early October.

Registration to participate in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Rusty Musicians constitutes a contract. In consideration for participation in the program, participant agrees to assume all risk of personal injury, loss or damage to property. Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Inc. may revoke the privilege to participate in this adult education program for misconduct or nuisance caused by participant. The participant also agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Inc. and their respective directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all claims, actions, injuries or damages which may be sustained or caused by participant in connection with these activities. All film or digital files created for advertising are the sole property of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Inc. and may not be used without written consent.

This release is for Baltimore Symphony use only and does not grant permission for program participants to use photographs or recorded media of other participants, Baltimore Symphony events, employees or concert hall property, whether for semi-public/public consumption or personal gain. Participants are responsible for their comments and information posted to the World Wide Web, as provided by law.
