Called “a breathtakingly daring and original artist” by The Washington Post, violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg plays Shostakovich’s moving Violin Concerto No. 1. Also, Marin Alsop conducts Rachmaninoff’s luxuriant Symphonic Dances and the Russian master’s touching Vocalise.
