Atlanta Symphony Music Director Robert Spano presents a contrasting program of musical vigor and romance. Violinist Leila Josefowicz collaborates in John Adams' Violin Concerto, filled with hypnotic melody and rhythmic vigor. The program begins with beguiling tales from Arabian Nights, turned into a perfect tone poem of zestful adventure and tuneful seduction. Stravinsky's first hit ballet, the haunting story of The Firebird, rounds out the program.
