Doctor Atomic captures the suspenseful, momentous events at Los Alamos on the eve of the creation of the atomic bomb. To celebrate the release of the Orchestra’s second album in its Dvorák recording cycle for Naxos, the program closes with a reprise of the composer’s popular “New World” Symphony.
