A unique educational and musical experience.
"We consider the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Master Class Program a wonderful adjunct to a school music program that includes sustained sequential music education taught by qualified music teachers."

Your student musicians are welcome at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall for an inspiring hands-on session with a BSO clinician, followed by a BSO concert. Your ensemble will benefit enormously from the personalized attention of some of the world's finest musicians. A master class gives students the chance to work with a BSO musician as an instrument section or as an ensemble. Students absorb pertinent technical, historical, and contextual information through interaction between the musician and section/ensemble.
- Master Classes offered for instrument sections, bands and orchestras.
- Scheduled at the Meyerhoff on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays upon availability throughout the season.
- For the comprehensive BSO experience, groups must attend a concert in conjunction with Master Classes.
- Schools have the option of choosing from the available time slots: 10:00am-12:00pm or 3:00pm-5:00pm
