Music Director Marin Alsop and French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet bring you a jazz-filled program of classic Gershwin, featuring his ground-breaking Rhapsody in Blue in its original orchestration for jazz orchestra and piano solo. Also on the program is the grander Concerto in F and the "I Got Rhythm" Variations, both also created for Paul Whiteman's big band. Lift your spirits with this upbeat evening of classic Americana.
