Designed for adult amateur musicians, the BSO Academy is an immersive week of playing and learning side-by-side with the members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Marin Alsop.

Orchestra Rehearsals

Daily rehearsals with Music Director Marin Alsop and the musicians of the BSO occur on stage at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Rehearsals occur just as they would during a normal week for the Orchestra, with Maestra Alsop giving precise instructions and critique during the focused sessions. For all of the seriousness though, sometimes there is a little laughter in the rehearsals!
