Baltimore - New York - Omaha

ANALOG arts ensemble, Co-Founded by BSO flutist Marcia Kämper, is a network of artists and musicians that is rapidly making its mark on the contemporary music scene. With an universal sensibility, ANALOG programs have consistently edged classical music into new terrain, where concerts are organically shaped by an unpredictable array of artistic disciplines. A typical event might offer Stockhausen's music alongside Bjork's while the audience roams around the performance space, observing isolated musicians as objets d'art.

Formed in 2001 by current Co-Artistic Directors Marcia Kämper, Dolf Kämper and Joseph Drew, ANALOG gave its first performance in a one-room stone church deep in the Maryland countryside. That first concert bore many of the traits that were to become hallmarks of ANALOG events: new commissions, ingenious arrangements, juxtapositions of seemingly incompatible musics, and dramatic pacing.

In the summer of 2004, ANALOG presented its first music festival ARTSaha!  Specifically designed for Omaha audiences, ARTSaha! was recognized in 2005 by The Reader as one of the cultural highlights of Omaha. In 2006, ARTSaha! was presented in partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The ensemble-in-residence of ARTSaha! 2008 was Baltimore's own Monument Piano Trio.
