Even a 21 inch December snowfall didn't stop the BSO Musicians' 4th Annual Toy Drive! On December 21, 2009, a string quartet and the oboe playing Santa Claus (now a Kennedy Krieger tradition) escorted hundreds of toys to the common room at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, a children's rehabilitation hospital located next to the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus. The toys were generously donated by the musicians of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. As they performed Christmas carols galore, the BSO musicians were able to give music, toys and smiles to the Kennedy Krieger Institute for the fourth year in a row.

Below is a selection of photos taken by BSO violist Christian Colberg. Click on the images to see a larger version.
