When not rehearsing or performing on stage with the BSO, I spend my time… doing yoga, playing chess, running, traveling, laughing, exploring, reading and listening.

What kind of music helps you unwind?  Depends on my mood.  Anything from Bach to Bjork

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?  I’m not telling, my mom might read this.

My dream is… world peace.

The non-musical accomplishment that I am most proud of is… running a marathon.

What is your favorite vacation spot?  The furthest place from anywhere I’ve already been.

To prepare for a performance, I… practice.

If I could choose to play another instrument, it would be the… theremin.

An extremely positive musical experience I have had was… working with Yuri Temirkanov.  He has an uncanny ability to show musical ideas with his body.  He can literally move one eyebrow and communicate exactly how a phrase should be played.
