Personal Website

In my free time, you will most likely find me…spending time with my son, Matthew, having dinner with friends, running the Baltimore Brass Co, and teaching at The Juilliard School in New York.  All that, and practicing, tends to fill my days.

If I had not become a tuba player…I would have become a music teacher and maybe had a music store on the side.

In my car you would catch me listening to…Talk radio, CDs or FM Classical music.

The ringtone on my phone is…Vibrate.  It is always on, needless to say it cannot be able to ring while I’m on stage.

My most embarrassing moment onstage was when…I got caught one night in parade traffic and missed the first piece on a pops concert.

The last books I read were…

  • Toyota Way Field book
  • First, Break All The Rules
  • Also Sprach Arnold Jacobs

Most people would be surprised to find out that…I cleaned bear cages to earn the money to buy my first tuba.
