Chamber Music Performances:

January 27, 2013
April 7, 2013

When not rehearsing or performing with the BSO, I spend my time…making reeds, watching TV, and trying to cook Chinese food for family or friends.

If I had not decided to become a professional musician…I would have probably become a chef.

To unwind, I listen to…Chinese pop music, and some Latin music.

In the car, I listen to…NPR, WBJC or Chinese pop music.

The craziest thing I have ever done or biggest risk I have ever taken was when…I proposed to my wife on the stage right after my master’s recital and she said “YES.”

My dream is to…travel around the world.

My guilty pleasure is…Peking duck and orange soda.

The last movie I saw was…Blood Diamond.

If I could choose another instrument to play, it would be the…cello. I also play the piano.

My most embarrassing musical moment was when…I was performing the Stravinsky Octet in a Church at Oberlin, I turned my music after we all tuned, and noticed that I brought wrong music on stage.  I had to walk through the aisle all the way to the back, and get the correct music.

If I could spend the day with any composer, it would be…either Mozart or Stravinsky.
