When not rehearsing or performing on stage with the BSO, I spend my time…playing tennis or farming.

If I had not become a professional musician, I may have become a…pilot or race car driver.

To unwind, I listen to…chamber music.

In the car, I listen to…anything that the kids want!

My current ring tone is…some jazz tune.

The last book I read was…20 Stars, about the live of our five star Generals.

Most people would be surprised to learn that…I am a closet recluse!

The craziest thing I have ever done is…driving 150mph on a French motorway.

My dream is…to take my family around the world by car.  We are partially there….

The non-musical accomplishment that I am most proud of is…being on the Board of the Baltimore School for the Arts, a public school.

What is your guilty pleasure?  You name it.

My favorite vacation is...right now, my farm.

The last movie I saw was…The Simpsons Movie with my 9 year old.

To prepare for a performance, I…practice, practice, practice!!!

If I could choose to play another instrument, it would be the…bassoon.

I also play the…viola.

My most embarrassing musical moment was…my wooden chair collapsing in the middle of a show in South America.

An extremely positive musical experience I have had was…being in a great British orchestra for so many years.

A profound experience, musical or otherwise, that has shaped or deeply influenced my approach to music would be…being thrown in the deep end at such a young age and learning to sink or swim.

If I could spend a day with any composer, if would be…a sober Brahms.
