In my free time… when it is warm weather, I like to go out in my kayak.  I always love to spend time working with clay.  Whenever possible I love to spend time with my two grandchildren.

If I hadn't become a violist… I might have become a biochemist.  When I found out that there were not enough hours to spend both in the lab and practicing I chose the one I loved the most...I had to play the viola.

In my car, you'll most likely find me listening to… NPR or WYPR.

I seldom listen to music when I unwind. I would rather read a book or watch "Whose Line is it Anyway".

The ring tone on my cell phone is… "Hello Moto"  kind of funky.

My most embarrassing moment onstage was… many years ago on a run out to the Eastern Shore.  I was in the process of doing demolition on my Charles Village rowhouse and rebuilding the windows.  I was very tired.  That night the stage was crowded and the violas were nearly off the stage behind the curtain.  Suddenly I was aware that the viola section was playing and I was sleeping.  I don't think anyone saw me but who knows?
