Baltimore Symphony Associates Host 32nd Annual Decorators' Show House, May 10-June 7

Two historic Ruxton homes feature Baltimore's leading interior designers

Baltimore, Md. (March 26, 2008)- The Baltimore Symphony Associates (BSA) will host its 32nd annual Decorators' Show House on the historic property of Roland Run in Ruxton, from May 10 through June 7. Featuring some of Baltimore's leading interior designers, the Show House is an annual fundraiser to benefit the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's education programs. See below for hours and ticket information.

Built in 1896 as one of the Grand Dames of Ruxton, Roland Run is located on four lush acres. This year, the Show House tour also features a second home, originally built in the early 1800s and currently being expanded with a contemporary renovation. The expansive property includes a 12-hole golf course, with the first tee box on the front porch of the manor house. The pool and tennis courts overlook Roland Run-- a stream previously a part of Lake Roland.

The homes will feature the artistry of more than 25 Maryland designers and landscape architects. The design spaces include 23 decorated areas in both homes, from the front porch to the butler's pantry.  Among the designers selected for this year's Show House is Grillo & Company in Towson, who will transform the living room of the main house into luscious shades of blue with white accents, complemented by blue and white Canton china.  The boys' bedroom will take on a "Home on the Range" theme with western accents complete with a stagecoach bed, created by The Monogram Shop in Sparks.  LCK Interiors in Perry Hall will create a guest bedroom with luxurious bedding and all the amenities of a romantic getaway.  Other designers include Fern Hill Designs in Butler, Winslow Art & Design in Baltimore, Simply Grand Interiors in Forest Hill, Alexander Blank in Timonium, JBrown Decorators in Bel Air, Gateway Interiors in Baltimore, Linda Snyder in Timonium, Pat O'Brien in Cockeysville and LeChateau in Phoenix. There will also be an onsite café and boutique.

Parking is available at Valley Inn Restaurant on Falls Road. A free shuttle will be provided to the show house location.
