2014 BSO Celebration Gala

On the heels of the 200th birthday of our national anthem, join us for a special Gala concert showcasing quintessential American music, artists and Maryland's musical roots. Copland's Lincoln Portrait and Old American Songs are brought to life through narration by Center Stage's visionary Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah and the soaring harmonies of the Morgan State University Choir, Grofe's Ode to the Star-Spangled Bannerwill be brought back to the stage for the first performance in 80 years. The evening wouldn't be complete without a performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blueand a special appearance by the BSO OrchKids and the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra!

Temporary Diversion Due to the 2014 Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Gala - Route 21

Effective, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 9:00 AM through Monday, September 22, 2014 at 9:00 AM; Preston St. will be closed between Cathedral St. and Howard St. for the 2014 Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Gala. This closure will necessitate the following diversion:

Westbound: Via the regular westbound route on Preston St. to Maryland Ave., then:
Left on Maryland Ave.
Right on Chase St.
Right on Howard St.
Left on Dolphin St., then via the regular route.

Eastbound: No Change
