Noah Israel is thrilled to be performing with the BSO in this production of Hairspray. He has recently collaborated with the BSO as a vocalist in the UMD Men's Chorus during a performance of the Brahms Requiem. He is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland: College Park where he received a B.A. in Theatre and a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology. As a Berman Masters Scholar and a Nancy Law Theatre Scholar he devoted the majority of his undergraduate career to exploring the theatre arts and is intrigued by the connections between the sensory experiences had in theatre and the neurological responses produced by the body. UMD credits: Troilus & Cressida (Troilus), Intimate Apparel (Mr. Marks), The Me Nobody Knows (Lloyd), Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 (Stanley Sheinbaum, Jin Ho Lee, Elaine Brown, horn player).
