  By offering a strong foundation and developing the whole individual, OrchKids is positioning Baltimore City's students for lifelong success not only in music, but in all areas of their lives.

  Each Year, an OrchKid student will receive +640 hours of structured enrichment including music lessons, instruments, academic support, mentorship, healthy meals, access to inspiring experiences and much more. The cost for the Bso to deliver OrchKids stands at roughly $1,250 per student per year. OrchKids operates above and beyond the BSO's operating budget, so you can be sure that 100% of your contribution is directly supporting Baltimore's youth in the most need.

  As the region's premier youth ensembles, the BSYO nurtures musical growth while inspiring in each student qualities such as self-discipline, perseverance, leadership and responsibility to a common endeavor. Membership support is necessary to deliver this tremendous opportunity for our region's most talented musicians to its fullest potential, bridging the BSYO tuition-expense gap as well as underwriting important financial aid packages.

  It is the BSO's goal to be as much of an active partner in the Montgomery County and greater D.C. community as we are in Baltimore. To this aim, we have founded programs and partnerships, such as Orchlab with Montgomery County Public Schools. Your contribution to the BSO Education infastructure in Montgomery County will help us further grow the impact of our music in the greater D.C. metropolitan area.

  Unique in the country, the BSO Academy programs offer a range of activities for adult musicians—instrumentalists, vocalists and music educators alike. Your contribution to these lifelong learning programs will help to make possible such meaningful and immersive side-by-side experiences, making the cost of participation more affordable for all as well as directly underwriting a number of partial or full-tuition scholarships each year.
