In 2015/16, Music Director Laureate & OrchKids Founder, Marin Alsop, established a loan program of several of her family’s extraordinary instruments and bows to members of the Orchestra. To honor this family legacy, we are pleased to curate a chamber performance featuring those donations, and our talented musicians: Holly Jenkins, first violin; Bo Li, fourth chair cello; Dariusz Skoraczewski, principal cello; Lisa Steltenpohl, principal viola.

BSO musicians will be joined by Olga Kern, the Russian-American pianist with family ties to Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, and the winner at 17 of the prestigious Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition.
