MEMBER BENEFITS AREN’T ABOUT USTHEY’RE ABOUT YOU!

We know that there are many worthy causes you can support, and we are humbled and deeply grateful that you have chosen to give generously to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. You’re always on our minds, and part of every decision we make. Thank you for being part of our family!

Your experience as a member is vitally important to us. And as values and priorities shift—particularly now in our post-COVID world—we want to ensure that we’re providing the best possible experiences for you. So, with fresh eyes and ears, over the past 24 months we have sought feedback from our member family through questionnaires, surveys, and face-to-face conversations. And as a group, you have shared your thoughts and feelings with a powerful voice, revealing several common threads in what matters to you. First, quite simply, it’s about the music. Second, your hunger to learn is limitless. Finally, having a connection with BSO musicians, fellow supporters, and staff holds great meaning. Yet, your individual interests are as diverse as symphonic repertoire itself.

That’s why we’re making changes that will increase the versatility and value of your Membership. Here is a summary of how benefits are changing, effective September 1, 2023:

  • Events that were restricted by Membership level will become part of a brand-new program, the Ovation Series (see below), to be launched later this month.
  • Members will receive a select number of complimentary passes to enjoy Ovation Series events, which increases by giving level.
  • A new donor thank-you event is being added at each of the $250 Brahms and $1,200 Symphony Society Silver level.

These adjustments allow for a fuller, more personalized all-around experience. Please read on to review the full listing of benefits and what you can expect.

On behalf of all of us here, we can’t wait to welcome you to what is going to be a landmark year for your BSO! Thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and most importantly, your belief that the power of music can change our world for the better.
