Haekyung Ju

One-Year Second Violin

Haekyung Ju pursued a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the renowned New England Conservatory. During her time at NEC, she had the privilege of studying under esteemed professors Soovin Kim and Donald Weilerstein, supported by a Dean’s scholarship for six years. She continued to seek musical inspiration through masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Sylvia Rosenberg, Cho Liang Lin, Kyungsun Lee, Robert McDuffie, Augustin Hadelich, and Midori.

In addition to her academic pursuits, She actively participated in several prestigious summer music festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival Fellowship in Aspen, the Music Academy of the West Fellowship in Santa Barbara, and the Taos School of Music in New Mexico.

From 2021 to 2023, she graced various Boston organization venues with captivating string quartet performances, forging lasting connections within her local community. Meanwhile, as an NEC student, she enriched her chamber music expertise by participating in the Borromeo String Quartet Seminar, collaborating closely with members of the Borromeo quartet.

Her musical talents extended beyond the United States, as she took part in the Seoul National Orchestra Tour and showcased her virtuosity as a soloist with the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra in Korea.
