Requests Regarding Tickets
All questions regarding tickets, including how to purchase or exchange your tickets, should be directed to the BSO’s Ticket Office. You may also review our ticket policies by visiting The BSO Ticket Office at the Meyerhoff may be reached in person or by phone, 410.783.8000, during normal business hours, Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 pm. The ticket office window is also open one hour before concerts and through intermission. Please note that the Ticket Office is closed on Mondays year round and closed on Sundays in July and August.

Artistic Submissions
Please note that due to the high volume of requests that we receive, we are unable to respond to every submission of unsolicited scores or promotional materials from artists or composers seeking performance opportunities. Unsolicited scores, recordings and promotional materials sent to the BSO will not be returned.

How do I let you know about my concert experience?

What is appropriate concert dress?
When you attend a BSO concert or event at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall or at the Music Center at Strathmore, you’ll see patrons wearing everything from jeans to gowns. Most patrons are dressed in business or business casual attire, but there is no specific dress code. Please wear something comfortable so that you can enjoy the concert!

I am involved in a charity auction or other fundraiser. Would the BSO like to donate tickets?
We’re happy to consider all donation requests from certified 501(c)3 organizations and similar charitable groups. Please note that the BSO is able to consider donating tickets for your event or fundraiser, but is unable to make monetary donations.

All requests must be submitted on your organization’s letterhead, by mail: Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, ATTN: Donation Requests, 1212 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201; or by fax: 410.783.8131. Please be as specific as possible in your request, and allow at least two weeks for processing.

I am a member of the media. How do I request more information?
The BSO’s Public Relations department offers a comprehensive online press room, which includes press kits, current and archived press releases, images for download and print, and more. I’m interested in learning more about a certain work. Can you give me details? includes program notes and often audio clips for all concerts that the BSO performs throughout a season. Notes are linked through the particular program’s page, easily accessible through the Season Calendar.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of inquiries, we are unable to make recording or listening recommendations, nor are we able to answer questions regarding works that the BSO is not performing in the current season; we suggest Googling for program notes and additional information.

Where can I eat before my performance?
Before concerts and during intermission at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the BSO serves light refreshments such as cakes, cheese plates, sandwiches, soda, beer and wine. There are also numerous restaurants around Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The Music Center at Strathmore offers convenient on-site dining courtesy of Restaurant Associates. Click here for a menu and a list of off-site options.

Where do I park?

If I am running late for my concert, will I be seated?
If you arrive late, you may enjoy the concert over the video monitors located in the front lobby until a late seating break is called by house management. Some concerts — but not all — may have designated pauses, in which late arrivals may be seated at the discretion of house staff. Out of respect for the performers, staff and your fellow audience members, please wait quietly until instructed to enter the Hall.

I am a performer and would like my group to perform as part of a BSO concert or in the lobby.
We appreciate your interest. The BSO has established strong working relationships with many different bands, dance troupes and other performance groups. You may feel free to submit any relevant materials, along with your request, to the attention of the BSO’s Artistic Department. Please understand that due to the volume of inquiries, you will only be contacted if there is an opportunity available.
