Born in Seoul, South Korea, Sunjoo Park began studying violin at the age of 9. She completed her Bachelor of Music degree studies at Seoul National University in 2009 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her Artist Diploma under Robert Lipsett and Arnold Steinhardt at the Colburn School of Music. Ms. Park most recently completed the Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music under Christopher Wu, member of the Pittsburgh Symphony.

In 2015, Ms. Park concluded a three-year fellowship in the New World Symphony. She has held the concertmaster position in the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra in 2011 and 2012 and the Spoleto Music Festival Orchestra in 2013. As an avid orchestral musician, Ms. Park has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and is a first violin section member of the Grant Park Music Festival orchestra since 2015.

Ms. Park joined the second violin section of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in September 2016.
