    For ages 21-40

    BSO Passport brings together music lovers aged 21-40. For only $99, get nearly unlimited access to BSO concerts at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and the Music Center at Strathmore. Passport members get free admission to BSO concerts, access to exclusive events and an inside look at the internationally acclaimed Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

      • Select the date you are interested in from the list of available concerts

    Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Student Ambassador

    About the Baltimore Symphony Orchestras student offerings:

    • Student Select: As the cornerstone of the BSO’s student programs, the Student Select membership program offers nearly unlimited access to BSO performances all season long for only $35. Membership also includes ‘bring a friend for $10’ and admission to all College Night events
    • College Nights: The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra hosts three College Night events each season. College Nights events offer special $10 advance student rush tickets which include a concert ticket and admission to an exclusive after-party with drink specials, free pizza and a chance to meet BSO musicians. College Night event dates for 18-19 season are Fri, Nov 9, 2018/ Fri, Feb 1, 2019/ Fri (date TBD)
    • Student Rush: Based upon availability, the BSO offers $10 student rush tickets available for purchase the day of a performance. Students can sign up for our Student Rush e-mail list to receive notifications on upcoming performances and availability.

    Student Ambassadors will work closely with the Audience Development Manager and BSO Marketing Department to represent the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on their respective campuses and promote a variety of programs and events. The student ambassador’s activities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Representing the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra student programs at College Fairs on campus throughout the school year; including tabling events
    • Distribute grassroots marketing materials for the Student Select Program and hanging posters for each College Night event
    • Contribute to student-based social media presence by inviting students to and sharing College Night FB events
    • Attend each College Night event
    • Explore additional opportunities to engage students on your respective campuses with BSO student programs
    • Other duties as assigned

    The ideal Student Ambassador candidate is enthusiastic about classical music and the arts, is a self-starter, organized, and demonstrates a passion for arts management and /or marketing. 

    Essential skills include:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
    • Thorough knowledge of on-campus and off-campus student life
    • Experience with social media channels

    $10 College Night tickets include a BSO concert and entry to an exclusive after-party with FREE pizza, $2 beer specials and the chance to meet BSO musicians.

    FREE with BSO Student Select. Admission without Student Select is $10 per concert, with valid student ID. All College Nights are held at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Not all performances are available for rush, please call the Ticket Office the Wednesday prior to performance day for availability. Seat assignment is at the discretion of the Ticket Office.

    Public/Senior Rush Tickets

    Subject to availability for concerts at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall only, a limited number of discounted tickets will be sold for $20 to the public. These tickets are available in person at the Ticket Office beginning one hour prior to the performance. Not all performances are available for rush, please call the Ticket Office the Wednesday prior to performance day for availability. Seat Assignment is at the discretion of the Ticket Office.

  • Young and Free

    New for the 2018-19 Season, the BSO is proud to introduce the Young and Free ticket program.

    For select Classical and Pops concerts, children ages 7-17 may attend free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Reservations will need to be made in advance, by phone or in person. Some restrictions apply (see below).

    Conductor Kwamé Ryan returns to the BSO, introducing the fast-rising Naughton sisters, twins and duo-pianists whom The Philadelphia Inquirer praised as “paired to perfection” after their Philadelphia Orchestra debut. They perform Poulenc’s brilliantly witty Concerto for Two Pianos, portraying a musical game between close friends who just happen to be keyboard virtuosos. The program concludes with Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5.

    Respighi's Pines of Rome and the composer's lesser-known but infectiously brilliant gem, Brazilian Impressions, form the centerpiece of this program. This concert also features the works of two powerhouse women composers, including Jennifer Higdon’s Low Brass Concerto, co-commissioned by the BSO. Percussionist Colin Currie returns with a new concerto by Scottish composer Helen Grime.

    You'll think you're at a concert featuring Celine Dion, Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters and more as actress, singer and impressionist Christina Bianco takes center stage with Jack Everly and the BSO SuperPops. Bianco captured international acclaim as a YouTube sensation with her diva impression videos, and has performed on major television programs such as The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Today Show.

    Renowned German pianist Lars Vogt is showcased in Brahms’ First Piano Concerto, a pillar of the romantic repertoire. Principal Guest Conductor Markus Stenz leads the Orchestra in Schoenberg’s lush, late-Romantic orchestral tone poem, Pelléas und Mélisande.

    BRAHMS Violin Concerto 
    SHOSTAKOVICH Symphony No. 11, "The Year 1905" 

    BSO Concertmaster Jonathan Carney takes center stage for Brahms’ beloved Violin Concerto, featuring some of the most beautiful melodies in classical music. Conductor Peter Oundjian leads the Orchestra in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 11, “The Year 1905,” perhaps the most poignant, dramatic and powerful of his 15 symphonies.


    Guidelines and Restrictions: Limited quantity of free tickets available for each performance, with quantity based on demand. Up to 2 free children’s tickets available per 1 full price adult ticket. Full price will be defined as the standard single ticket OR subscriber rates, cannot be used in combination with special offers. Reservations will need to be made in advance, by phone or in person. Party must be seated together, ticket buyers adding children’s tickets to previously purchased tickets may need to be reseated, price differences apply. Offer does not apply to premium seating.
